Be sure you find your way to the town hall at at 3:45 because Santa will be arriving via in style to Wickham and Willoughby for a reading of a Classic Christmas book!
Book Readings
Santa will kick off the readings at Wickham and Willoughby, but be sure to stick around as other local authors will be doing readings throughout the afternoon. Starting at 4:00 with Santa, and every 30 minutes after, a new author will come in and read pieces from their works. So grab some hot chocolate and get comfortable while listening to fantastic stories! See the readers and their biographies on the "Presentations" tab of the drop down menu.
Kids' Midway
The familiar Santa Cookie Toss game will make a come-back this year, with several new games on the newly minted Children's Midway! Other games you will be able to find will be a Hidden Grinch Hunt, Snowball Darts, Duck Pool, and Fishing for Nutcrackers. Prizes will be awarded to all kids who are able to beat each game, so be sure to try your hand at them all! We will also have face painting available!
Hidden Grinch Contest
Are you really good at games like "I Spy" or "Scavenger Hunt"? Well you'll love this game! We will have a hidden Grinch picture at various events throughout the afternoon. If you are able to find them all, you will win a special prize! Head over to the Kids' Midway to pick up a map and visit each location listed to find the Hidden Grinch to get a special hole punch on your map. If you collect 8 or more special punches, bring your map back to the Midway and you will be given your well-earned prize!
Photo Stage
Do you need a festive family photo for your holiday cards? What about a funny picture to share on your socials? Well, come to the photobooth set up outside of the Town Hall to get that perfect pic!
Kids' Art Display
Find your way into the Fellowship Hall of the church to find that it has been transformed into an art show of local children's beautiful artwork! Do you have a piece of artwork that you want to submit? Email us for details on how to get your/your child's artwork included in the gallery. You can also download some coloring pages for inspiration on the main events page.
Kid's Cookie Decorating
Come and decorate your own yummy and beautiful cookie to take home (and the recipe too)! The cookies, frosting, and all decorations will be provided and you can learn how to decorate a cookie from Amanda, the professional baker from Short and Sweet Bakery in Tyngsboro. Reserve your space using the links found listed under this section on the main "Events" page for your preferred timeslot. Please be prompt as at the start of the timeslot, unfilled spaces will go to walk-ins or those on the waitlist. Photos with Santa
Santa Claus is coming to town - our town! Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to come and listen to what you want for Christmas and let you take a photo or two with him. If there is a line, be sure to go make a craft to take home while you wait for your turn!
Kids Craft Time
Is there a line to take a picture with Santa? Or did you arrive early for your cookie decorating time slot? To fill the time, head to the downstairs hallway of the church (across from the preschool) to make a fully completed craft to take home!
S'mores Station
Is there anything better than a freshly made S'more around a campfire with friends? Either while waiting for or after going on a trip through the Journey to Bethlehem, you can make yourself this delicious treat for free at the S'mores station near the entrance to the Journey with the Boy Scout campfire experts manning the flames.
