Jinglefest and Journey Through the Years
Dunstable’s first ‘Journey’ event was held on the town common in December of 2015. It was put together by a small volunteer committee helped by a much larger group of energetic volunteer actors and actresses. Costumes and props were borrowed or made by volunteers. The ‘Journey’ was well attended, so the committee did it again in 2016. One thing led to another, and the ‘Journey’ has become an annual event for Dunstable. In 2021, with some last-minute encouragement, the craft fair and a few other events were added. With the help of additional volunteers, ‘Jinglefest’ became a part of the annual tradition in 2022, with a new committee focused on adding additional holiday events to help our small town enjoy this wonderful time of year. Despite some challenging New England December weather over the years including deep snow, bitter cold and some rain, the tradition has continued for Dunstable. We hope that this event continues to build community spirit, bring enjoyment to all and help raise funds for various local charities.
